The Government of Gujarat has given special importance to women oriented schemes through gender budget for economic empowerment to empower mothers, sisters and daughters of the state. The state government is committed to ensure that women get adequate employment, become self-reliant and maintain women's representation in society everywhere. The state government has made concrete plans towards women empowerment through various schemes like Wahali Dikari Yojana, Betty Bachao, 33% reservation in recruitment, girls education, 50% reservation in local bodies, free education and Abhayam helpline. Pride of women's power - Gujarat will become the leading Gujarat of tomorrow with honor. In order for Gujarat to play a leading role in the building of a new India and for women to play a leading role in it, it is very important to spread various welfare schemes.
