if we remember the glorious literary and cultural heritage of Gujarat as well
as the Jyotirtharas of Gurjar Asmita and pay homage to them, will we be
considered connected to the roots of the language. The book Granthotsav booklet has been
produced to introduce this tradition to the youth, which is commendable.
No
one knows how many people will read a word written today and how much it will
improve their lives in the future. But
even after a century, articles written by writers continue to illuminate the
light of knowledge to many.
By
compiling the best works of eminent writers in this booklet (Granthotsav Book) by
the Information Department of the State Government, Mahakavi Dayaram,
Zaverchand Meghani, K. Ma. Attempts to provide brief information about
many writers, including Munshi, are welcome.
I
would like to send my best wishes in the hope that this booklet (Granthotsav Book)
will be useful in inculcating the cultural heritage of Gujarat in the new
generation of youth.
