Special campaign days on electoral roll reform programme.
Letter No. 07/08/2020 from Election Commission, New Delhi: Special brief revision of the photo-filled electoral roll in connection with the date of eligibility from 23/202109-ERS has been announced. Accordingly, the letter of the letter dated 10/08/2020 and 11/09/2020 gives detailed instructions on the Special Abbreviation of The Electoral Roll 2021. The period of acceptance of entitlement claims and objection applications has been fixed from 09/11/2020 (Monday) to 15/12/2020 (Tuesday) as per the amended schedule approved by the Election Commission and the draft of integrated electoral roll will be published on 09/11/2020 (Monday).
The 174 Vidhansabha constituencies in the state (except 8 Assembly constituencies under by-elections) will be covered by the Special Abbreviation of The Electoral Roll starting on 22/11/2020 (Sunday) 29/11/2020 (Sunday), 06/12/2020 (Sunday) and 13/12/2020 (Sunday) are scheduled to be held as special campaign days.

The following tasks will be done on these special campaign days.
1. Special arrangements will be made by the Designated Officer to be present at the polling station from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm to accept the claim and objection applications.
2. Display the appropriate banner for the event engagement at each such location.
3. Accept forms by designated officer on special campaign day, verify voter details from draft, verify draft in collaboration with BLO, conduct relevant action in case of error and report to ERO/AERO through supervisor at the end of each particular campaign day.
4. On this day, the Supervisor should continue to visit every location under the scope of the work and provide necessary supervision and guidance and submit a report to ERO/AERO of each part of the evening.
5. District Election Officer, Voter Registration Officer and Assistant Voter Registration Officer must visit designated locations in random manner.

Further, the District Election Officer has to ensure that the detailed guidelines given by election commission of India for holding general/by-elections during Coved-19 and the guidelines issued by the Government of India/State Government of India on preventing the transition of Coved-19 are strictly followed on special campaign day.
Therefore, the detailed instructions on the days of special campaign in the above detail are requested to give necessary instructions to all concerned officers including booth level officers of all vidhansabha constituencies, assistant voter officers, etc. in your district.
