Mucormycosis Na Injection Gujarat Ma Kyathi Malshe Ane Shu Bhav Hashe Teno Officially GR
Currently, the number of cases of Mucormycosis in the state is increasing day by day. This is a type of Fungal Infection that is seen in COVID-19 patients during treatment and is also seen as Post Covid Complication in COVID-19 patients who have recovered.
Patients with Covid-19 who have Diabetes, HIV infection, or who have been given steroids for a long time are more likely to have the infection. Liposomal Amphotericin B is given for the treatment of such patients. The availability of this drug in the market is also very low. Due to this, the government, as well as private hospitals, are facing a lot of difficulties in treating patients.
Therefore, the following policy is formulated to ensure that Liposomal Amphotericin B is available to the patients undergoing treatment in the private hospitals of the State at reasonable rates.
(1) Patients with Mucormycosis being treated in private hospitals in the State also Inj. Liposomal Amphotericin B can be made available at a reasonable price. The amount of Liposomal Amphotericin B should also be allocated to the patients undergoing treatment in a private hospital at a cost.
(2) Treatment in private hospitals! Patients will have to approach Annexure-A wise hospitals from Private Hospital. And Annexure-A wise hospitals will have to verify the following documents for their allocation of Liposomal Amphotericin B to private hospitals.
(A) Detailed case of the admitted patient (doctor's prescription (original) as well as case history sheet)
(B) Copy of patient's Aadhaar card
(C) Duplication of the diagnosis of Mucormycosis
(D) Letter of recommendation from the treating physician
(3) The responsibility for distribution and supply chain management of Liposomal Amphotericin B from the Corporation owned hospitals will be the responsibility of the Health Department of the Corporation and they will also have to verify the above documents.
(4) Annexure-A wise hospitals will have to form a committee of experts in this matter and make a decision after verifying the above documents of needy patients.
(5) After they have verified the documents, the required Inj. The amount of Liposomal Amphotericin B has been transferred to private hospitals by Gujarat Medical Services Corporation Ltd. (GMSCL). As per the prevailing purchase price (Annexure-B) Inj. Liposomal Amphotericin B should be supplied. This amount (Annexure-C) has to be credited to the account of the GMSCL office by the Medical Superintendent.
A separate register of stock and distribution and details of Liposomal Amphotericin B shall be maintained and maintained by Civil Hospitals.
This arrangement will be implemented on a temporary basis as long as sufficient quantity is available in the open market.
