is known as an agricultural country as well as a country of rich villages. The understanding among the villagers to help each other, to stand together on big and small occasions, to unite and solve the problems of the village strengthens the constitutional structure of the
gram sabha as well as the panchayat. The Sarpanch welcomes well-being, security, and peace in the village by effectively
implementing various schemes as part of the power delegated to the Panchayat President by the villagers through elections.
Rural areas of the state are being transformed through various schemes like 'Self Help Group', paved roads, availability of the network for communication media, deepening of lakes and rivers under PPP model 'Sujalam-Sufalam Jal Sanchay' scheme to increase economic development opportunities for women at rural level.
Thoughts and efforts are required to present Panchayat-oriented schemes like Sardar Awas, Panchvati, Samaras Gram, Swachh Gaam - Swastha Gaam, and Tirth Gaam - Pavan Gaam in the form of booklets. I am confident that the booklet 'Panchayati Raj and Gram Vikas', published jointly by the Information Department and the Rural Development Department, will be a driving force for progress for the villagers.
