Gujarat Education Minister Announce for Primary Teachers transfer and promotion policy
After a long discussion with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on the issue of teachers 'rules in the state, the education department held a meeting with the state teachers' union. After which some important decisions have been taken. These changes have been made in the rules of transfer and promotion of teachers after 10 years. This decision of the education department will directly affect 2 lakh teachers in the state. Education Minister Jitu Waghan informed about this while addressing a press conference today.
3-4 thousand teachers will be dismissed immediately
The Education Minister said that some important decisions have been taken regarding the long-standing issues of teachers. Which will directly affect 2 lakh teachers. The decision has been taken by consensus and in the interest of education, the interest of the students as well as the interest of the administration. So far, the teachers who have been transferred but could not be dismissed due to vacancies of more than 10 per cent. It has been decided to release all the transferred teachers as a special case. In a school where there is a school with zero teachers due to the dismissal of the transferred teachers, the last eligible teacher will have to resign only when a new teacher arrives. This decision will result in the dismissal of about 3-4 thousand teachers. This decision will also apply to all teachers who have been replaced and not fired in the last three years.
Changes in rules after 10 years
He further said that the rules for the transfer of primary teachers were made in 2012, in which new rules have been prepared in the interest of the organization and teachers. Until now, 40 per cent of the vacancies in the district have been given to the teachers, but instead, 100 per cent of the vacancies in the district will be given to the teachers.
- While the district fair was important to be the hometown of the teachers concerned in the interaction and internal transfer, that important provision has now been removed. That is why the word homeland has been removed.
- Bonded teachers who have been appointed on the condition of employment for 10 years in 1 place will be able to apply for transfer after 5 years.
- If the spouses of government employees who are eligible for transfer from one district to another have a headteacher in a government school, they can be placed on deputation in the district where the government employee is transferred. Teachers who have moved to another school in exchange for slaughter will be able to apply for a replacement if they wish to have a vacancy in the original school.
- From now on, the benefit of transfer of government employees from one district to another in the case of spouses will also be given in the case of public enterprises of grant-aided (Government) Gujarat Government and public enterprises of Central Government and its company.
- A committee has been constituted for redressal of grievances in case of transfer. Here teachers will be able to complain about their problems, change. This will save teachers unnecessary expenses, time and benefit the education department.
