FSSAI has taken up a series of initiatives to transform India's food safety an nutrition landscape by ensuring availability and consumption of safe food and healthy diets by its citizens. Children being the foundation of a healthy. FSSAI has envisaged the concept of "Health Clubs" which can act as a medium to create awareness and develop sensitivity among school children regarding safe and nutritious food for holistic well-being and scholastic excellence.
FSSAI, New Delhi has prepared a handbook of "Health Clubs" for schools. which defines the purposes and operational strategies of the "Health Club" such as, starting a club, functions, organization structure, etc. with guidelines and suggested activities.
In view of the same, this office requests your kind self to facilitate establishment of "Health Clubs" in Primary and Secondary Schools. For your reference, the letter from Secretary and Chairperson along with Handbook is attached herewith.
